How CIKBS
tournaments work.
Catch legal bass on artificial lures, photograph each fish on an approved measuring board, release it, and submit the photo through the tournament app. Your five longest accepted bass make up your event score.

01Do I need tournament experience?+
No. First-time tournament anglers are welcome. Review the rules before your first event and read the official event briefing for scoring, boundaries, safety, and tournament times.
02What kind of kayak can I use?+
Human-powered and pedal kayaks are permitted. One electric motor is allowed; dual-motor configurations and gas propulsion are prohibited. Host-water requirements also apply.
03How are fish scored?+
CIKBS uses catch-photo-release scoring. Measure each legal bass on an approved board, photograph it with the event identifier visible, release it, and submit the photo through the selected tournament app. Your five longest accepted bass make up your score.
04Can I fish without becoming a member?+
Guest registration is planned for eligible open events, subject to capacity. Guests pay the guest entry fee but do not earn season points or qualify for the championship.
05Are the 2027 dates and launch sites final?+
Not yet unless an event is marked confirmed. Dates and venues remain subject to permits, water conditions, and site approval. Each event page will show the official launch, boundary, schedule, and status before registration opens.
06Where will official changes be posted?+
CIKBS.org is the official source for schedule changes, launch locations, tournament boundaries, delays, cancellations, and results. The current timestamped event page will control if another message conflicts with it.
